Mi Favorita (Mazurka). Anonymous composer, arranged by Daniel Fortea and performed by Bartosz Paprot. The mazurka is a Polish waltz based on traditional Polish folk dances that were very popular in 19th century Europe. Daniel Fortea (Spain) was Francisco Tárrega's student at the end of the 19th century and one of many incredible results was his beautiful arrangement of this piece. We can dedicate this one to moms everywhere!

Luzía (Siguiriya). Written & performed by Paco de Lucia & his ensemble. This is the 2nd siguiriya that I've included in the Inspirational Performance emails. I like to make sure that each week is a different style but since today is Mother's Day, I thought it appropriate to include this siguirya which Paco dedicated to his mother Lucía. This version is very different from previous videos since it includes dance, voice and bass. You can hear the original studio version here.
