The colombianas is a 4/4 style in the flamenco genre that belongs to the flamenco tango family. Accents are typically on 2 & 4 and they are usually written in a major key using a IV-V7-I progression. Paco Peña's version is a very traditional colombiana that arranges all of the guitar's traditional parts for vocal accompaniment to create this beautiful and light solo guitar piece.
Maria Luisa (mazurka). Composed by Julio Sagreras (1879-1942, Argentina) and performed by Jonas Lefvert.
Sagreras was born into a family of professional guitarists and began performing by age 6. He is most famous for his compositions and guitar method series (Sagreras' Lecciones) which consists of seven books that take the student from the beginner to the advanced stage. His most famous compositions besides Maria Luisa are El Zorzal, Violetas and the El Colibri.
