Diego Alonso | Music
Vals Venezolano No. 2 "Andreina" (Antonio Lauro) performed by Ana Vidovic. This waltz was part of Lauro's "4 Valses Venezolanos" and, along with Vals No. 3, is one of Lauro's most famous works. This is a short advanced piece (level 1-2) that has a very memorable melody and is super fun to play. Ana Vidovic plays this piece very expressively using a lot of tempo, dynamic and tone variation.
Oración (Rondeña) composed and performed by Manolo Sanlúcar. The Rondeña is a style of flamenco music driven from the fandango. There are 2 versions of rondeñas for flamenco: one in standard tuning for voice and dance accompaniment and one in a non-standard D major tuning (D-A-D-F#-B-D) use for solo flamenco guitar rondeñas. This style of rondeña was created by Ramón Montoya in the early 1900s. Here you can see Manolo Sanlúcar playing extended tremolos to emphasize the melody.
